Design Engineering facilitates the development of new product engineering information and the modification of existing information for items and bills of material in an environment free from the constraints of manufacturing document control. Relevant Design Engineering provides maximum flexibility by enabling the design engineer to develop data to support working models of both parts and bills of material prior to their production release. The standard 20-character item number links to a 35-character cross-reference item number and multiple 35-character manufacturer's item numbers.
